My first degree is from Calvin College, where I studied Communications, Information Systems, & Graphic Design. However, I discovered what I was truly passionate about by later taking a leap of faith and enrolling in Grand Valley State University’s Computer Engineering program. Engineering awakened my passion for working collaboratively and solving complex problems. It also introduced me to coding, which quickly became my favorite part of class.

In school, I completed three co-op semesters and my senior project at an embedded systems engineering firm, where I particularly enjoyed working on IoT projects and embedded software. After receiving my degree in Computer Engineering, I felt ready to take on new challenges and continue on my path of lifelong learning.

I chose to join Atomic’s Accelerator program to hone my skills as a software developer as part of an excellent team. I hope to combine my varied experiences with my technical knowledge to create custom solutions that meet every client’s individual needs.

Outside of work, I enjoy hanging out with my dog and cat, brewing beer and kombucha, seeing live music, practicing yoga, and experiencing the natural beauty of Michigan.
