As part of Atomic’s business operations team, my role is to compile and analyze our financial activity to enhance the crucial work of our designers and developers. My passion involves taking all the individual financial data pieces that comprise Atomic's daily activity and organizing them into the tools we use to help realize our mission to become a 100-year-old software consultancy.
I have a B.A in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from Calvin College. Before joining Atomic, I spent eight years developing my financial and operational expertise in both the outdoor recreation and paint retail sectors.
While our designers and developers identify as generalists working across a plethora of software platforms, I also value being able to take that same approach to helping Atomic's business operations run smoothly and effectively. My career so far has afforded me the opportunity to touch a large spectrum of financial responsibility, and that continues here at Atomic.
My life outside of Atomic primary carries an outdoor theme. Warmer months are spent in my kayak and on my bike, and winters are spent on my skis. These passions are also reflected in my volunteer work as a ski patroller with the National Ski Patrol and in the restoration of the Grand River through downtown Grand Rapids with Grand Rapids Whitewater.
