After working as an independent consultant as a means of paying for school, I began working as a developer full time in the late 80s. My participation in a wide range of projects early in my career prepared me nicely for the ever-changing environments we work in here at Atomic.
Pre-Atomic Projects- Kitchen & Bath design
- Automotive job costing
- Explosives detection
- Internet-based file sharing
- Several applications in the textile and apparel design field.
- Organizational diversity and sustainability
- Health and fitness event tracking
- Supply chain management and simulation
- Color measurement quality tracking
At the same time, I have picked up extensive experience in many computer languages and development environments. Among these are C, C++, C#, Java, Html, Python, and Ruby. In addition to working on cool projects for our clients, I have some experience in presenting many aspects of our software design beliefs and methods at local venues such as GLSEC and national events such as Dr Dobbs Architecture and Design World.
When not developing software, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three young sons. The rest my free time (let’s see, that works out to about 19 minutes per month) is spent golfing or playing ice hockey (depending on the season), and playing in the occasional poker game or tournament (no TV appearances yet, alas).
