With us since: Spring 2008
I started life in Southeast Michigan and came out to the Grand Rapids area starting in 2000 when I began college at Grand Valley State University. I graduated in 2004 with a B.S. in Computer Science and a Mathematics minor. By 2004 I had fallen in love with West Michigan and began settling down here.

Right out of college I worked with Iserv and the former Black River Media creating and maintaining websites. I later moved to CQL, Inc. where I spent most of my time working on the financial advising web application IPS Advisor Pro. I developed a number of skills in Microsoft tools and application development using C# and .NET. I eventually ended up back in small scale web development as part of the startup company Spearia. Through my time with Spearia I had the joy of learning Rails and dabbling in agile development methods.

As one of the newer Atoms in the office I am furthering my depth of knowledge with rails, hosting, and server administration as I support the SME ToolKit project.

When I’m not at the office I enjoy: taking care of my pets Pixel & Slinky (cats), Guinness & Miaka (cavy), and a 46 gallon fish tank (discus fish); Alpine skiing and instructing; sportbike riding my 2006 Suzuki GSXR 750; working on personal web projects; and making unforgettable memories with friends and family.
