With us since: July 2002
Supporting AO’s vision to be a great place to work, I am our resident workplace designer and construction manager. With my guidance, AO’s HQ, in its historic building, continues to support the company’s growth and evolves from its early state as a scary old building to being a great workplace.
As a part of National Historic Preservation Month, in May 2008, I received an award for the extensive renovation and restoration of our historic building. The Grand Rapids Historic Commission selected our building as an “Outstanding Commercial Historic Preservation Project.”
On an on-going basis, I represent Atomic Object within the Wealthy Street Business Alliance. In parallel, I serve on the Uptown Forward team, which is currently working to establish a CID (Corridor Improvement District) to fund infrastructure improvements and spur economic growth within the Grand Rapids Uptown neighborhood.
I graduated from Purdue University in 1984 with a BA in Commercial Interior Design. In 2003, I joined the ranks of the US Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professionals.
Currently I serve as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the East Grand Rapids Field Hockey Association. I have also served on the Board of Directors of Stepping Stones Montessori School, most recently as its vice president.
I am passionate about artisan bread baking and I enjoy collecting amber.
