Marissa Christy

Like many at Atomic, my first experience with a computer was my Dad’s Commodore 64. Unlike many at AO, however, my mastering of this machine did not move beyond a handful of memorized commands (notably, C:\yahtzee.exe). In terms of using the command line, I guess you could say I peaked at five.

Until now, that is. These days you can again find me stumbling through bash, learning to use vim as my primary editor, and trying my hands at some (seriously basic) programming (see here). It’s like riding a bike.

I graduated from Calvin College in May 2009 with a BA in Art History and a minor in Philosophy. While in school, I pursued my interest in writing and editing, working as a writing tutor, freelance editor for several professors, and as a copy editor for a local communications company.

Most of my work at Atomic falls under the umbrella of communications, whether it’s consulting with our clients about their marketing strategy or executing our own internal marketing efforts. Recently I’ve been reading about Lean Startups, and how digital marketing can be used to acquire quick feedback at different stages of product development.

In my free time, I enjoy talking about economics and investing with my husband, Sean, and obsessively checking Craigslist for used furniture deals.
