I came to AO as an apprentice in mid to late summer of 2011. After completing my apprenticeship in the fall, I became a full time Atom. Previously I had filled the position of marketing design and development with Armstrong International. My design and development experience stems back even further, with freelancing and consulting on various small projects for a handful companies across the US.

Graduating from Davenport University in 2010, I received a bachelors degree in computer sciences (specifically web design and web development). I had taken courses and attended meet-ups on web design and development prior to and throughout my college career. Working on both sides of the design and development “barrier” is both an intriguing and fun experience.

Currently at Atomic, I am on a project that is based on the Ruby on Rails environment with a heavy front-end of Backbone.js.

Curious about our name? One person was so curious he called and asked.

The words atomic and object are, in fact, software terms. But, we think an atomic object is a far more human thing than these.
