Brittany Hunter

With us since March 2011.

Brittany made her first website when she was 13. It was purple and it had sparkles and ponies. It was around that time that she decided she wanted to design software.

She graduated from Grand Valley State University with honors in 2008, receiving a B.A. in Classical Languages—a somewhat unique background for somebody interested in the field of software development. The intense training Brittany received in critical thinking, rhetoric, and language works in combination with her love of visual design, enabling her to comprehend complex business domains and effectively communicate difficult concepts in understandable, usable, visually beautiful ways.

Prior to joining Atomic, Brittany has worked as a developer on the GVSU Webteam and as website coordinator for a Grand Rapids-based international nonprofit organization.

Outside of work Brittany spends a lot of riding, training, and taking care of her 3 horses, and on weekends she competes with them in local dressage competitions. During the school year, she enjoys teaching violin lessons and tutoring high school Latin. She also dabbles in photography, blogging, cooking, and gardening.
