With us since: May 2009
I have one of the few non-development jobs at Atomic Object: system administration. My days are generally filled with taking care of servers and figuring out new ways to automate tasks or implement some cool technology that will make things work just that much better. Some things I’m particularly interested in are virtualization, security, task automation, and applying test-driven software development concepts to network design. A few specific projects I’ve worked on for Atomic Object include MedicalMicro infrastructure and WorldBank support and administration.

Although my current position doesn’t call for much programming aside from small scripts, I have been writing software since high school. During college I worked on several research projects, including a student-led effort to build and maintain a cluster to run with minimal power requirements and a personal project in which I implemented various algorithms on the graphics processing unit to improve performance. These projects were housed in the computer science research lab, which I was also responsible for administering.

When I manage to get away from they keyboard, It’s usually for rock climbing or cycling.
