Grand Rapids, MI —Today Shawn Crowley is travelling to Royal Oak, MI to participate in a panel for the Michigan Agile Enthusiasts’ (MAE) December meeting, where he and the other panelists will discuss their use of “Big Visible Charts.”

The five panelists will be discussing how they’ve used big, visible charts, or “information radiators,” in their organizations’ software development processes. Atomic Object uses graphic charts and other visual displays to communicate about internal and client projects to stakeholders and team members. Shawn has been influential in bringing more information out in the open at Atomic.

In a recent blog post, Shawn commented on his team’s use of inexpensive UX display boards:

“Having the guiding big-picture artifacts visible and accessible has proven to be immediately useful. Conversation is sparking between team members working on design and development. Discussions flow easier by being able to easily point at and reference artifacts on the board.”
