Atomic Object is awarding 6-month subscriptions to StartupToDo.com, a web resource for entrepreneurs.

May 18, 2010

Grand Rapids-based software firm, Atomic Object, announced this week that it will award twenty Michigan-based startups a scholarship to StartUpToDo.com a training/productivity community for startups and microISVs (independent software vendors with just one developer).

StartUpToDo.com was founded by Bob Walsh, veteran IT professional, accomplished author, and co-host (along with Patrick Foley) of the Startup Success Podcast. StartupToDo helps startups efficiently tackle some of the initial hurdles of starting up and provides them access to a community of other entrepreneurs (including a site review). Here is a sampling of the numerous “Guides” on offer:

  • A basic guide to picking a business entity format for your startup or microISV
  • Announcing your startup to the Startup Industry
  • Copy protection of desktop software
  • Create a Pre-Incorporation Co-Founder Agreement
  • Creating a Business and Marketing Plan for a startup. Part 1: Introduction
  • Creating an iPhone App for your startup with AppMakr

Atomic Object has already found its first four awardees in the Momentum finalists. Momentum is a venture firm that invests in web-based technology startups based in the Grand Rapids area. Carl Erickson, Shawn Crowley and Mike Marsiglia of Atomic Object are participating as mentors in the Momentum program.

“Atomic Object has made a commitment to enhance West Michigan’s technical startup community,” says Marsiglia. “We believe that the high quality content found on StartupTodo.com will provide local entrepreneurs a step-by-step road map for their company growth, and improve their chance for success.”
