Atomic Object endeavors to advance the craft of software by marrying Interaction Design with Agile Development.

March 25, 2008

Grand Rapids, Michigan – Having established itself as a nationally recognized expert in software development, Atomic Object announces its intent to extend its Agile software development expertise to Interaction Design.

Atomic Object is most well known for its Test-Driven Development and Agile project management proficiency. Today’s successful new product developments (for instance, Apple’s iPod & iPhone) have revealed the importance of getting interaction design and user experience right. Recognizing that software quality extends beyond well-tested features into an enjoyable and intuitive user experience as well, AO is taking strides to pioneer the discipline of Design-Driven Development.

Unique challenges and synergies make Agile techniques both complementary and challenging to integrate with the process of User Interface / User Experience design (UI/UX). Yet, AO has already applied its talent and methods to several successful UI/UX software projects. AO is sending its developers to attend UI/UX conferences across the country. And, as a sponsor of XP West Michigan, AO has opened the conversation regarding UI/UX to the local development community through a special monthly meeting with Dr. Robert Biddle, an expert in human-computer interaction.
